Shop labor​/Yard Operations

Forward Traffic & Marking is seeking a dedicated and skilled Yard/Shop Operations team member to support our road construction projects across Wisconsin. As a Yard/Shop Operations team member, your role will be essential in maintaining the smooth and efficient operation of our yard and shop. You will be responsible for organizing and keeping the yard clean, performing routine inspections and maintenance on equipment, and managing the inventory of tools and materials. Your responsibilities will also include loading and unloading materials, handling traffic control items, and ensuring all documentation related to materials and equipment is accurate and up to date.

In addition to these tasks, you will operate company trucks to transport materials to and from job sites and perform basic equipment repairs as needed. Ensuring that tools and machinery are in good working order will be critical to keeping projects on track and ensuring the safety of all team members. Communication with the Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager will be key to coordinating tasks and ensuring that operations run smoothly.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and excellent driving record.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform tasks such as reaching overhead, bending, kneeling, and twisting.
• Able to sit, stand, and drive for extended periods.
• Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of equipment maintenance.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends.
• Willingness to travel to other branches as needed.
• Work outside in extreme weather conditions.
• Forklift certification required.
