Building Inspector

** This position is subject to a Hiring Incentive up to $6,000**

Job responsibilities include, but not limited to: inspections include building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, irrigation, and other inspections related to the Town’s zoning ordinances, plan review and the enforcement, interpretation, and application of building, zoning and sign codes and other Town ordinances for residential and commercial development.

Must have high school diploma or GED.

Must have 3 years prior experience with municipal inspections and plan review or equivalent trade related experience.

The employee frequently is required to talk and hear.

The employee is occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
