Events Guest Services Ambassador

The Special Events Guest Services Ambassador plays an essential role in creating a welcoming and positive experience for guests attending Town of Little Elm special events. This position primarily supports event registration and ticket booth operations by providing outstanding customer service, processing admissions, handling cash and electronic payments, issuing wristbands, answering guest questions, and assisting with event entry procedures.

Ambassadors serve as the first point of contact for many event attendees and are expected to represent the Town with professionalism, accuracy, and a commitment to exceptional customer service.

This position requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions while maintaining a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced event environment.

Work Schedule & Event Opportunities

This position is event-based, with work opportunities primarily centered around Town-sponsored events and festivals. Anticipated shifts include the following events:

  • February:
    Big Easy in Little Elm, a Mardi Gras inspired community celebration featuring live entertainment, food, and family activities.
  • March: IRONMAN 70.3 Dallas–Little Elm, a large-scale endurance event welcoming athletes, volunteers, and spectators from across the region.
  • April:
    Eggtastic, a family-focused spring celebration featuring activities and entertainment for children.
  • June:
    Brew & Que, a major festival featuring barbecue, craft beverages, live music, vendors, and entertainment.
  • June:
    Juneteenth, a community celebration featuring live entertainment, activities, food, and cultural programming.
  • July:
    Red, White & Beach, Little Elm's signature Independence Day celebration featuring live entertainment, vendors, activities, and fireworks.
  • September:
    Autumn Fest & Hispanic Heritage Celebration, a four-day fall festival with carnival rides, live entertainment, food, and vendors.
  • October:
    Nightmare Over Little Elm, a Halloween-themed festival featuring entertainment, vendors, activities, and seasonal attractions.
  • December: A Merry Little Elm Christmas, a holiday celebration featuring festive entertainment, activities, vendors, and family experiences.

Additional event dates and work opportunities may be added throughout the year based on the Town's event schedule and operational needs.

Education/Training/Experience

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, recreation, or event operations is preferred but not required.
  • Previous cash handling experience is preferred.
  • Licenses or Certificates

  • Must be bondable.
  • Successfully complete all required Town training.
  • Language Skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, coworkers, supervisors, and members of the public effectively.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Essential Job Functions

  • Welcome guests and provide exceptional customer service during Town events.
  • Operate registration and ticket booths during assigned events.
  • Assist with the setup, operation, and breakdown of Town events, festivals, races, concerts, and community programs.
  • Staff activity areas, including children's games, crafts, inflatables, and interactive programming, while providing a safe, welcoming, and engaging experience for guests.
  • Assist with stage production, including artist hospitality, backstage operations, performer logistics, and production support for nationally and regionally recognized entertainers such as Hudson Westbrook, Vincent Mason, and other touring artists.
  • Support outdoor movie nights, concerts, festivals, and special events by assisting with guest services, vendor coordination, crowd management, and event operations.
