About the Role
Our firm is partnering with a growing provider of power infrastructure and field services to hire a Revenue Analyst. This position supports business leaders by delivering proactive financial and operational insights that drive decision making and continuous improvement. You will manage key components of the revenue cycle, including percentage of completion revenue recognition, accounts receivable analytics, and communication across multiple levels of the organization.

Job Description
In this role, you will execute core revenue accounting and reporting activities while collaborating with leadership, operations, and FP and A teams. You will ensure accurate revenue recognition, maintain strong internal controls, and support both day to day financial processes and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete revenue accrual entries using percentage of completion principles
  • Work with leadership to understand market trends and business drivers
  • Coordinate customer credit approvals and set up new customers in Sage Intacct
  • Serve as the primary contact for Dun and Bradstreet
  • Oversee the bad debt collection process
  • Manage income from all business activities in compliance with accounting standards
  • Maintain and improve internal controls for financial accuracy
  • Apply and analyze accounts receivable data and support collection efforts, including weekly open AR review
  • Collaborate with FP and A to analyze forecasted revenue and maintain revenue schedules
  • Complete month end journal entries and reconciliations related to revenue and accounts receivable
  • Support sales and operations teams with job specific financial information
  • Assist with month end close activities, audits, and external reporting
  • Identify and recommend technology tools to streamline workflow
  • Provide support for M and A activities as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or a related field
  • Two or more years of experience in finance or business
  • Knowledge of GAAP and financial processes
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Strong problem solving abilities and sound decision making skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills

Preferred

  • Ability to travel up to 25 percent within the continental United States
  • Experience working in a services based business
  • Ability to pass a drug screening and background check
  • Valid drivers license
