We are seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to join their growing manufacturing operation in Little Falls, MN. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and enjoys being highly involved on the shop floor driving quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
This role will work closely with the Quality Director, Quality Technicians, Plant Manager, and production teams to improve processes, reduce scrap and returns, and elevate overall quality standards across the facility.
Responsibilities- Support the Quality Director with daily quality initiatives and process improvements
- Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on scrap reduction, returns reduction, and operational efficiencies
- Analyze inspection and production data to identify trends and implement corrective actions
- Perform root cause analysis, capability studies, and problem-solving activities
- Work directly with production employees on the manufacturing floor including welding, forming, and machining operations
- Partner cross-functionally with operations and quality teams to improve manufacturing processes
- Maintain a strong floor presence and actively support production operations
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality-focused manufacturing environment
- Experience with root cause analysis and 5 Whys methodologies
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools - Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification
- Strong ERP system experience
- Advanced Excel skills preferred
- Comfortable working in a hands-on shop floor environment
- Self-driven and capable of working independently with minimal direction
- Manufacturing experience required
- Salary range: up to $95,000
- Quarterly bonus opportunities
