ESL Adult Instructor

An effective ESL Instructor will take the lead in guiding English as a second language through an exciting language learning journey. QUALIFICATIONS:

A High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Certification in TESOL, TEFL, or other relevant ESL teaching credentials is a plus.

Proven experience as an ESL Instructor Strong command of the English language, including excellent grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation skills.

Demonstrated ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans and adapt them to different proficiency levels and age groups.

Empathy and cultural sensitivity when working with diverse student populations from various linguistic and cultural backgrounds.

A strengths-based approach to fostering language development that employs patience and enthusiasm

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with students and Meadowlands Family Success Center Director Flexibility to offer in-person, hybrid, or distance learning when weather conditions or Knowledge of educational technology and its integration into language instruction is an advantage

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Develop engaging lesson plans according to learners needs and language abilities.

Utilize various mediums, materials, and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles

Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to motivate students to achieve their language learning goals.

Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation, cultural exchange, and language fluency.

Include cultural topics and discussions in the curriculum to promote cross-cultural awareness and understanding.

Keep up-to-date with current ESL teaching methodologies, language trends, and relevant educational resources to improve teaching techniques.
