Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team in Little Rock, Arkansas. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations and processes in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

- Record and reconcile cash receipts while ensuring timely daily bank deposits.

- Process accounts payable tasks, including keying invoices, check requests, and weekly AP check processing.

- Assist in payroll preparation and execution, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

- Prepare journal entries to maintain proper financial records.

- Manage fixed assets using specialized software, ensuring accurate tracking.

- Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

- Collaborate with the Controller to assess and improve internal processes for enhanced efficiency.

- Serve as a reliable backup for the Controller, supporting various financial functions as needed.

- Promote effective communication within the team and with clients to foster healthy relationships.

- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the finance department. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and 10-key accounting.

- Proficiency in preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients.

- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

- Advanced Excel skills are highly desirable.

- Experience with Financial Edge software or in a non-profit setting is a plus.

- Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a time-sensitive environment.

- Open-minded and collaborative approach to problem-solving and achieving goals.
