Summary:
This position is a corporate level accounting position responsible for the day-to-day operations of the financial reporting process including posting journal entries, reviewing and analyzing financial statement variances, preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, producing various supporting schedules/analytics, performing research as needed, assisting with the production of monthly financials/ key metrics info. in accordance with GAAP and ensuring the closing process adheres to schedule.
Also, responsible for maintaining the general ledger chart of accounts including assessing requests for new cost centers/accounts and also accurately setting up new departments and accounts when approved. This position assists with preparation of forecast/budget. Also, responsible for assisting with the completion of various external audits and mandatory reporting including financial audit, tax/governmental reporting, surveys, etc. Responsible for special projects designated by Management.
Other information:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting (or equivalent) required. Master degree and CPA preferred, but not mandatory. Generally requires3 year of public accounting or5 years of non-public accounting experience in accounting position; however, relevance of experience and education/certification are taken into consideration. Experience in healthcare highly preferred, but not mandatory. Ability to multi-task and work both independently and as a team is required.
Also, willing and able to train/mentor staff accountants. Advanced knowledge of Excel functions is required.

80.00 hours bi-weekly.
