Position Summary
We're seeking a Payroll and International Tax Specialist II to manage complex payroll tax compliance across multiple states and international jurisdictions
. This senior-level role ensures accurate tax filings, payments, and reconciliations while serving as a subject matter expert for payroll operations and compliance. If you have deep expertise in multi-state payroll tax and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!
- Oversee payroll tax processing for multi-state and international employees
. - Prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll tax returns (Forms 941, 940, W-2, W-3, and international equivalents).
- Reconcile payroll tax accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Respond to tax notices and support audits from federal, state, and international agencies.
- Monitor legislative changes and implement new compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to optimize payroll tax processes.
- Lead year-end activities including W-2 and global tax reporting.
- Mentor junior specialists and provide guidance on complex tax issues.
- Assist with other areas and functions as needed by management.
- The ability to work overtime, travel, and maintain regular punctual attendance is required.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and/or equivalent experience.
Certifications:
CPP or FPC strongly preferred; international tax certification a plus.
Experience:
5+ years of payroll tax experience, including multi-state and international compliance. Experience managing payroll for large populations (1000+ employees). Must be familiar with all regulations pertaining to payroll to ensure company compliance with federal and state laws, including reporting requirements.
Skills:
This position requires a high level ability to make time-sensitive decisions, manage multiple competing priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in payroll systems (ADP, Workday, or similar). Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for our company without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Some travel may be required. Confidentiality in all aspects of Payroll and company information required. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and work directly on a computer in a high-pressure environment. Must be able to lift 25 pounds occasionally.
