This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional seeking diverse exposure across both tax and audit engagements while working with a wide range of clients and industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations
  • Assist with tax planning strategies to ensure compliance and optimize client outcomes
  • Perform audit and assurance procedures for privately held companies, nonprofits, and other client entities
  • Participate in financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations from planning through completion
  • Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate directly with clients to gather information, address questions, and provide ongoing support
  • Conduct technical research on tax and accounting matters and apply findings to client engagements
  • Stay current on tax law changes, GAAP, and auditing standards
  • Work closely with firm leadership to manage engagement timelines and deliverables
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and high-quality service
  • Assist with special projects and additional responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA license required or actively pursuing, with at least one exam passed
  • 2-6+ years of public accounting experience with exposure to both tax and audit
  • Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations and auditing standards
  • Experience preparing returns across multiple entity types (individual, partnership, corporate)
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and a client-focused mindset
