A growing North American manufacturing organization based in Little Rock, AR is seeking an experienced Controller to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and manufacturing cost accounting across multiple facilities. This role oversees the accounting team and partners closely with plant leadership, commercial teams, and corporate finance to strengthen reporting accuracy and support operational decision making.
ScheduleFull time, exempt.
Compensation$130,000 to $140,000 per year.
What You ll DoThe Controller directs all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, cost accounting, fixed assets, and inventory accounting, and leads monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting. This role develops and maintains accounting policies, internal controls, and procedures in accordance with U.S. GAAP, and partners with plant and commercial leadership on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, cost control, and profitability reporting.
The Controller oversees standard costing, inventory reconciliations, rate studies, product line analysis, and multi-site financial reporting, and manages external audits, tax filings, regulatory reporting, and audit readiness activities. This person presents financial results, risks, trends, and business opportunities to senior leadership, supports ERP implementations and finance process improvement initiatives, and leads, develops, and holds the accounting team accountable for performance.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 15 to 20 years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- At least 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, manufacturing cost accounting, financial modeling, and multi-site consolidations
- Experience managing external audits
- ERP experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- CPA and/or master's degree
- SAP experience
- Strong executive communication, analytical, problem solving, and team development capabilities
