Accounting Specialist

Description

+ Process and record accounting transactions accurately and timely

+ Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

+ Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer accounts

+ Assist with general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations

+ Prepare and post journal entries as needed

+ Help with month-end and year-end close activities

+ Maintain financial records, supporting documentation, and files

+ Review invoices, expense reports, and payment requests for accuracy

+ Research and resolve discrepancies related to billing, payments, and account balances

+ Assist in preparing financial reports and internal accounting schedules

+ Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls

+ Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve accounting issues

+ Support audit requests and provide documentation as needed

Requirements

+ Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

+ 1-3+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related finance experience

+ Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes

+

Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and data entry

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy

+ Excellent organizational and time management skills

+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
