Discipleship Assistant-Midtown

Position Summary:

The Discipleship Assistant will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Adult Discipleship Pastors and team with administrative duties on the Midtown campus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist with events as needed including submitting CRF’s (web, media, promotional materials) eSpace requests, event registrations, sign up lists, set-up and clean-up, ordering food and supplies
  • Attend Midtown Staff Meeting (at least 1 x per month) and a weekly touch point with overseer
  • Maintain database entry using Ministry Platform as well as creating spreadsheets and rosters
  • Assist and attend all Adult Discipleship events as needed
  • Assist with scheduling and preparing materials for DGL and Connection Team trainings
  • Assist with Assimilation Process:
    Connection Card, Ministry Platform, schedule meeting/calls/texts with guests, and send a follow up e‑mail
  • Assist with volunteer recruitment efforts
  • Support Connection Team providing resources (bulletin, promotional materials, special events, badges) and updates on special events
  • Support with creation and distribution of annual calendar
  • Assist with registration, roster, materials and follow up for Fellowship Next and Membership Class
  • Other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • Ministry experience a plus

Knowledge and

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Initiates well on their own anticipating needs
  • Is hardworking and is willing to check things off the list
  • Able to balance multiple tasks in an effective and efficient manner
  • Serves and interacts well with volunteers, members and guests
  • Serves and operates well in team environment
  • Can organize details and communicate them well
  • Is hardworking and is willing to check things off the list
  • Able to take the end goal and be comfortable being released to accomplish the required task
  • Relates well with parents and staff

Work Schedule:

Monday-Thursday, 5 hours per day with flexibility for occasional hours remotely/on Sundays when needed for trainings and events
