Superintendent – Heavy Civil
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year
Our company is a leading Arkansas construction firm, with over 50 years of experience in site preparation, underground utilities, earthwork, concrete, asphalt, paving, and maintenance services for commercial and industrial projects.
Responsibilities
Oversee all stages of the project life cycle, managing construction schedules, budgets, and ensuring milestones are met.Ensure work is performed in accordance with safety and quality standards, regulations, and project specifications.Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring high‑quality and efficient execution.Develop and implement project strategies and plans, including risk management and communication plans.Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and maintain safety and quality standards.Resolve issues that arise during construction, liaising with stakeholders as needed.Prepare and present project updates and progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years experience in a construction superintendent role, with a proven track record managing large‑scale projects.Preferred bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.Excellent project management skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.Strong problem‑solving skills, able to resolve issues quickly and effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with a wide range of stakeholders.Strong leadership skills, able to motivate and manage a team effectively.Proficiency in construction management software and tools.Certification in Project Management, Construction Management, or related field is an advantage.Strong commitment to safety with thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices.Benefits
