Estimator - Civil Construction

Metric Geo is partnered with a leading heavy civil contractor in Central Arkansas to hire a Estimator. You'll be responsible for developing competitive bids on earthwork, utilities, paving, roadway, and structural projects while working closely with operations, project management, subcontractors, and suppliers.

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and quantity takeoffs for heavy civil projects.
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to identify scope, risks, and pricing requirements.
• Develop production rates, equipment pricing, and estimating strategies.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Support bid reviews, value engineering, and final proposal submissions.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate budgets and constructable solutions.
• Maintain organized estimating documentation and historical cost data.

• 2–5 years of estimating experience in heavy civil or highway construction.
• Experience estimating earthwork, utilities, paving, roadway, or bridge projects.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; HCSS Heavy Bid, AGTEK, or similar software preferred.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
