Job Duties:
The University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock, Arkansas, is accepting applications for a substitute faculty position in Cosmetology located at the Little Rock South Campus. This position requires a commitment to teaching in a dynamic community college setting and the ability to successfully interact and respond to the broad ranging needs of an academically and culturally diverse campus setting.
General Responsibilities:
* Must possess a thorough knowledge of the teaching field and a commitment to high academic standards;
* Must possess a commitment to program building, student retention, student success, and excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills;
* Teaching assignments may include a variety of interdisciplinary courses in Cosmetology;
* Assigned times will vary with demand; and
* Faculty members are expected to maintain active participation in non-instructional campus responsibilities, such as, college and departmental initiatives, committee work, student record keeping, curriculum planning, assessment of student learning, and professional development.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
* Cosmetology Instructor License.
Preferred Qualifications:
* One year of cosmetology teaching experience in a two-year college;
* Two years of salon industry experience; and
* Knowledge of Arkansas Department of Health Cosmetology Laws and Regulations.
