Summer Youth Intern; Part Time

Position: Summer Youth Intern (Part Time)
The Summer Youth Employment Opportunity (SYEO) provides City of Little Rock's youth between the ages of 16-21 (Youth Interns) with paid summer employment, including training, for up to six weeks during the summer months. SYEO also provides training on job readiness, career exploration, financial literacy and opportunities to continue educational and social growth. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and no older than 21 by June 1, 2026.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

This year's Summer Youth Employment Opportunity (SYEO) job placements will only be offered to applicants who successfully complete the preboarding and onboarding processes. Placement will be on a first-come, first-served basis, so please make sure to read all instructions and supplemental questions carefully to complete your application correctly.

Attendance at the Parent/Youth Informational Session is strongly encouraged for parents and youth participants ages 18 and under. Youth participants ages 18 and older are urged to attend to fully prepare for participation, with or without a parent or guardian. Additional information will be shared once onboarding is complete.

This position is not designated as a safety/security sensitive position and is not subject to random drug and alcohol screening.

Successful applicants will be responsible for a variety of general labor related functions (clerical, maintenance, etc.)

Applicants interested in being considered for SYEO Intern positions must meet the following requirements:

* Be a verified resident of the City of Little Rock.

* Be between the ages of 16 and 21 (Youth Interns)
-applicants must be at least 16 years old and no older than 21 by June 1, 2026.

Note To Parents:  Please ensure that the program participant (youth) completes the application and the supplemental questions. One key purpose of this program is to teach the participant how to apply for a job, participate in training, and develop work skills.
