Additional InformationThe Professional Development Specialist provides educational opportunities and programs based on the participants’ identified learning needs, competencies, and development goals. The Professional Development Specialist works collaboratively with the other members of the team, internal and external partners, and stakeholders to create a learning environment and education programs that meet individual, department, and organizational goals and facilitate the adult learning process.
Required EducationBachelor's Degree, Bachelor's Degree Nursing, Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent or Nursing Diploma
Recommended EducationMaster's Degree
Required Work ExperienceRelated Field - 6 years of experience
Required Certifications1 of the following certifications is required:
Registered Nurse (RN) license - Arkansas or Compact State
Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML) - American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) - Competency & Credentialing Institute, Certified Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse - Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation, Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) - Pediaric Nursing Cerification Board, CPEN - Emergency Nursing Cert (BCEN) - Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN), Critical Care Registered Nurse Adult (CCRN-A) - American Association of Critical Care Nurses Certification Corp, Critical Care Registered Nurse Pediatric (CCRN-P) - American Association of Critical Care Nurses, Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing (RNC-NIC) - National Certification Corporation, Nurse Executive (NE-BC) - American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC) - American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
