ASU-Beebe, a two-year residential community college part of the Arkansas State University System, is seeking to compile a pool of qualified candidates interested in future part-time teaching opportunities in the Automotive Technology program. The instructor will work in both the classroom and automotive laboratory teaching college and high school students.

• Prepare Automotive Technology curriculum, assignments, and exercises
• Teach Automotive Technology Courses
• Provide quality feedback on student work
• Assist with maintaining laboratory and related equipment
• Record daily attendance
• Submit grades within established deadlines
• Other related duties as required

Associate’s degree and/or 3-5 years of relevant work experience in appropriate field.

Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in G1, A Series for Automobile & light trucks.

$650 per credit hour

Stand frequently, Walk regularly, Sit regularly, Use hands to finger, handle, or feel frequently, Reach with hands and arms frequently, Climb or balance occasionally, Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl occasionally.

Up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 100 pounds occasionally, more than 100 pounds.

Close vision, Distance vision, Color vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception, Ability to adjust focus.

This position will be subject to a pre-employment criminal, sex-offender registry background check. In cases where pre-determined, an additional financial/credit history/ background check may be required as well. Convictions that have been sealed or legally eradicated and misdemeanor convictions for which probation was completed and the case was dismissed, will be excluded. Disclosure does not constitute an automatic bar to employment.

Factors such as dates of the offense, seriousness and nature of the violation, rehabilitation and position applied for will be taken into account.
