The University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law seeks a visionary leader for the position of Associate Dean for Information Services and Law Library Director. This tenure-track faculty role offers the opportunity to provide strategic direction for a library serving both the law school and the broader legal community through a partnership with the Pulaski County Law Library.
The successful candidate will integrate emerging technologies — including AI and digital tools — into legal education, manage library operations and budget, teach Advanced Legal Research, and collaborate with faculty and staff to foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
Candidates must hold a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and an M.L.S. (or equivalent) from an ALA-accredited program, along with a minimum of seven years of law library experience, including at least five years of progressive administrative leadership in an academic law library.
Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate brings an understanding of contemporary trends in legal education, library management, and information technology. A broad knowledge of digital resources, emerging technologies, legal research pedagogy, and innovative service delivery models is essential, as is a demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage complex initiatives, and foster an inclusive environment where diverse populations of library users flourish.
