To develop, instruct, and collect data on students in the areas of education, behavior, and social skills.

Terms of Employment:
Nine and one-fourth (9.25) month contract (190 days), plus benefit package.

Note:

Placement within salary range based on education and experience. FLSA:
Exempt.

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
• Current Arkansas certification in Seriously Emotionally Disturbed, Mental Retardation, Learning Disabilities, or Mildly Handicapped.
• Successful experience working with students at risk.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Experience implementing non-aversive behavioral programs and social skills training.
• Strong writing and organizational skills.
• Ability to implement Individual Education Plans.
• Commitment to quality desegregated education.
• Ability to create and implement individualized behavior plans.
• Preferred experience teaching students with behavioral needs.

• Embrace the K-5 school configuration and best practices with high expectations and promote student success while adopting a student-centered focus that allows students to grow socially, emotionally, physically, and academically.
• Support the vision and mission of Carver Washington Steam Magnet, Wildcat Achievers Program by working collaboratively with administration and all staff to create a positive, safe, kid-friendly learning environment.
• Demonstrate strong work ethics, passion for creativity and openness to new and innovative ideas.
• Serve as a member of the educational management team.
• Implement individual educational goals and objectives.
• Plan and deliver instruction aligned with students' Individualized Education Plan goals and Little Rock School District curriculum maps.
• Collect data on students’ progress.
• Meet with classes as assigned.
• Perform other duties as principal/supervisor may from time to time assign.
• Participate and successfully complete required safety, care and professional development beginning July 2026 and continuing throughout the school year, both on and off contract.
