Summary of

Job Duties

Teach courses for the School of Criminal Justice. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Qualifications

Required Education and/or

Experience:

  • Must have a Master's degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a related field OR a Master's Degree and substantial work experience in criminal justice.

Preferred Education and/or

Experience:

  • Professional experience in the CJ field;
  • A PhD in Criminal Justice or Criminology.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teach criminal justice courses. Classes may take place in the mornings, afternoon, at night, or online.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Committed to remaining current in the area of expertise and instruction;
  • Demonstrated communication oral and written communication abilities;
  • Ability to mentor;
  • Committed to student success.
