Summary ofJob Duties
Teach courses for the School of Criminal Justice. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
QualificationsRequired Education and/or
Experience:
- Must have a Master's degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a related field OR a Master's Degree and substantial work experience in criminal justice.
Preferred Education and/or
Experience:
- Professional experience in the CJ field;
- A PhD in Criminal Justice or Criminology.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach criminal justice courses. Classes may take place in the mornings, afternoon, at night, or online.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Committed to remaining current in the area of expertise and instruction;
- Demonstrated communication oral and written communication abilities;
- Ability to mentor;
- Committed to student success.
