Graduate Assistant Position
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the UA Little Rock campus is seeking to hire a 9-month graduate assistant. This position will support the UA Little Rock undergraduate Mathematics and Statistics programs. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
QualificationsRequired Education and/or
Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education;
- Regular admission to a UA Little Rock graduate degree program or good standing with the UA Little Rock Graduate School for continuing graduate students;
- Ability to work the required hours (FT-50% - 20 hours per week/PT-25% - 10 hours per week) with regular attendance.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working with undergraduate students in a tutoring setting as needed;
- Grading for undergraduate courses as assigned;
- Other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have good communication skills;
- Must have undergraduate mathematics knowledge;
- Must have experience with mathematical software;
- Must have the ability to work well with others.
Salary Information:
$444.44 - $1444.44 monthly salary range
