Summary ofJob Duties
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking to hire multiple Bowen Fellows. This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following job duties:
Attend Bowen Fellow training;
Contact incoming 1
Ls to welcome each student, assist during First-Week, provide information, answer questions as able, and refer students to other offices when appropriate;
Attend weekly, mandatory Bowen Fellow staff meetings or training; facilitate weekly 45-minute guided group study meetings at assigned locations and time; provide academic counseling and support for 1L’s; maintain detailed records of 1L attendance during meetings. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
- Upcoming 2L or 3L status;
- Commitment to the objectives of the Bowen Student Success Program;
- A demonstrated record of academic achievement, professionalism, and Bowen community engagement.

Skills and Abilities
- Ability to prioritize assignments and demonstrate a high degree of initiative;
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask;
- Solid interpersonal skills and ability to operate confidentially;
- Strong organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal).
$14 per hour
