Assistant Vice President - 4-H and Youth Development
This position provides support to the overall 4-H Youth Development program and supports growth and development of emerging programs and collaboration across the overall state 4-H program.
Job Duties:
- Assist in state 4-H program in recruitment and implementation of college scholarship program.
- Provide coordination between state 4-H team and 4-H Leadership.
- Provide support to statewide event planning and implementation.
- Provide support gathering and organizing statewide impact reporting.
- Provide support to statewide enrollment and reporting system.
- Provide support to state 4-H website development.
- Develop, implement, and support a statewide marketing plan.
- Lead efforts to develop the new Beyond Ready career preparation summit;
This includes grant writing and working with state 4-H team members. - Provide support for statewide event announcements
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Extension or Ag education, Family Consumer Sciences, Education, Curriculum Development, or related field is required.
- Ability to develop, organize, and deliver educational programs
- Ability to develop and/or organize educational curriculum for youth audiences
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team must be self-motivated and directed with the ability to achieve measurable results
- Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills and willingness to serve all youth audiences
- Previous work experience with Extension 4-H Youth Development and/or Extension preferred.
- Understands principles and trends regarding the development of curriculum.
- Has knowledge of methods of teaching and instruction.
- Possesses knowledge in technical writing.
- Has knowledge of various needs assessment and research methods.
- Skilled in evaluating standards in curriculum.
- Able to solve problems independently and manage projects alone.
- Can use computers and other forms of technology to gather data, communicate and report to other individuals and agencies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- experience with grant writing
- web page development.
Salary Information: commensurate with education and experience
