Graduate Assistant Position

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (Little Rock Athletics) seeks a Women's Golf Graduate Assistant who will serve under the direction of the Head Coach. This position will assist in a number of capacities including practice planning and execution, coordinating operations and travel for the program, recruiting, community service opportunities, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education;
  • Regular admission to a UA Little Rock graduate program or good standing with the UA Little Rock Graduate School for continuing graduate students;
  • Ability to work the required hours (FT-50% - 20 hours per week/PT-25% - 10 hours per week) with regular attendance;
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting the head coach with planning and implementation of daily practices;
  • Coordination of operations, planning travel, per diem, meals and itineraries;
  • Contribute to weekly staff meetings;
  • Recruiting
    - In collaboration with the head coach;
  • Coaching
    - In collaboration with the head coach;
  • Coordinating community service opportunities ;
  • Assist with the management of equipment and travel;
  • Assist with NCAA compliance reporting and academic monitoring;
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE,

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to work effectively with student-athletes;
  • Previous golf experience;
  • Effective communication skills;
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
