Adjunct Faculty
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking an Adjunct Faculty to teach computer science-related courses at the undergraduate level. This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following job duties: teaching course(s), providing mentoring support for students, assessing student-submitted work products, managing teaching assistants, and following course objectives and syllabus prepared for the courses. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
QualificationsRequired Education and/or
Experience:
- Master's Degree.
Preferred Education and/or
Experience:
- Master's or PhD Degree in Computer Science, or a related field;
- At least 5 years work experience in the computing profession.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach computer-science-related courses at the undergraduate level;
- Provide mentoring support for students;
- Assess student-submitted work products;
- Manage teaching assistants;
- Follow course objectives and syllabus prepared for the course.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to work with faculty in implementing a graduate-level program of instruction.
Additional Information:
Salary Information: $6,000.00
