Position Summary
Professor of Finance (9‑Month) responsible for teaching in the finance curriculum at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The university expects instructional excellence and scholarly output in line with its AACSB accreditation of undergraduate and MBA programs.
QualificationsRequired Education and/or Experience
- Ph.D. in Finance or a related field
- Research record commensurate with tenure as a full professor
Preferred Education and/or Experience
- Teaching experience and research in investments or related areas
- Record of engagement with industry practitioners such as portfolio/fund managers or CFA groups
- Serve on University, College, and Department committees
- Teach required courses per semester (fall and spring), 2–3 courses per term, classes held various times including mornings, nights, and online
- During summers (subject to funding and availability) teach an additional two courses for 15% of the 9‑month salary over five weeks
- Perform research leading to publication in national journals in instruction areas; publications considered in yearly evaluations
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Committed to students’ success as indicated by prior teaching experience
- Ability to mentor and supervise employees
- Committed to remaining current in the field of expertise and/or instruction
- Demonstrated teaching ability
