Position: Academic Interventionist (2026-2027 School Year)
  • Experience with implementing individual academic interventions.
  • Knowledge of instructional intervention strategies and implementation
  • Personal skills necessary to communicate and coordinate interventions with parents, intervention team, and classroom teachers
  • High School diploma with passing score on Work Keys test
  • Two-year Associate Degree preferred

Job Title

Reports To

Principal

Job Goal

To implement academic and interventions for students whose achievement prevents or impedes their personal academic growth.

To work with school personnel to ensure students are successful in the general education classroom.

Performance Responsibilities
  • Work with the teacher, RTI chairman, and District RTI coordinator to provide appropriate interventions for students.
  • Implement all phases of individual or group interventions as assigned by the principal.
  • Complete progress monitoring and documenting of academic achievement.
  • Completion of records and forms as assigned by principal.
  • Communicate progress of students to intervention team chairman and students' classroom teachers.
  • Attend meetings as needed.
Physical Demands

While performing these duties, the employee is required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee must be capable of moving and/or lifting up to 80 pounds. The employee may be required to restrain students as may be needed to prevent injury to individual student or others.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Salary and work year to be established by the Board of Trustees.

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
