Visiting Assistant Professor
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law seeks applicants for a full-time, non-tenure-track Visiting Assistant Professor position to teach in our autonomous Research, Writing and Analysis (RWA) program. The position is available beginning August 2026. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
QualificationsMinimum qualifications:
- A Juris Doctor from an accredited law school;
- Strong writing and interpersonal skills.
Preferred qualifications:
- Outstanding academic credentials, prior teaching experience, and law review or moot court service.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Teach Research Writing & Analysis;
- Achieve teaching goals;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Demonstrate ability to teach;
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in person, in writing, and through electronic means of communication;
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and utilize data in decision-making;
- Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse group of students;
- Demonstrated ability to advise students;
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team player and collaborate with colleagues.
