** Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM *(aftercare; non-negotiable)*
* ** Optional:
** 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM *(before-care, based on availability)*##
** Position Overview
** The Extended Care Associate is responsible for supervising students during before- and after-school programming. This role supports a safe, structured, and engaging environment where students can participate in activities, complete homework, and build positive relationships.##
** Key Responsibilities
**** Student Supervision & Safety
*** Ensure the safety and well-being of all students and staff
* Maintain a structured and supervised environment during extended care hours
** Student Engagement & Activities
*** Support and facilitate daily activities aligned with the program schedule
* Assist with planning and leading age-appropriate activities
* Provide homework assistance and academic support
** Classroom Environment & Operations
*** Distribute snacks and supplies to students
* Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
* Support behavior management and reinforce expectations
** Communication & Collaboration
*** Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
* Collaborate with school staff to support student needs
* Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions##
** Qualifications & Experience
***
* Minimum Requirements:

*** High school diploma or equivalent
* Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a school setting or customer service-related field
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and demonstrate initiative
** Preferred:
*** Experience working with school-age children
* Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred##
** Background Requirements
*** Arkansas State Background Check
* Child Maltreatment Central Registry Check
* Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) required background clearance and fingerprinting##

** Work Environment &

Physical Requirements
** This role is performed in a school setting and may include standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
* Ability to stand and move for extended periods
* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally
* Ability to communicate effectively in person and by phone
* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
