Civil Engineer; Geotechnical

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

This is Civil Engineer position, GS-0810-09/11 position with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Little Rock District in Engineering and Construction Division. It is non-supervisory vacancy which will be filled at GS-09 or GS-11 grade level. Duty Location is Little Rock, AR.

• You are responsible for reviewing and analyzing soil, rock and foundation test data to prepare design analyses and to review designs, plans, and specifications for Military and Civil Works Construction projects.
• You will develop investigational studies to obtain geotechnical and geophysical data for use in geotechnical design.
• You will provide technical advice in preparation of plans and specifications on a variety of complex Civil Works and Military projects throughout the lifecycle of each project.
• You will conduct field trips for Civil Works and Military projects throughout the District.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Obtain and Maintain valid state driver's license.
• Business Travel (TDY) up to 20%.
