Project Engineer - South Central District

Position Overview:
As a Project Engineer, you will be entrusted with both the technical execution and administrative coordination of construction projects. You will lead a team of field and cost engineers, ensuring that all project components are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Your role will serve as a critical communication bridge between the construction manager and the broader project team, particularly in areas of financial performance and operational planning.
District Overview:
Kiewit's South Central District has played a major role in constructing infrastructure projects throughout the United States. We specialize in highway and heavy civil construction including grading, excavating, trenching, bridge construction, concrete, asphalt paving, and more. Location:
All roles are project-based and will require mobility for the duration of assignments within the South-Central District, including Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Arkansas.

- Undergraduate degree in construction management, construction engineering, or other engineering disciplines.
- 5+ years' work experience in construction or engineering.
- 3+ years' experience managing engineers with exposure to cost control and scheduling management.
- Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity.
- Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives.
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
