The Impact You’ll Make in this RoleAs a Manufacturing Ops Engineering – Project Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Managing project timelines and budgets for assigned projects.
- Successfully interacting with multiple discipline teams including 3M plant personnel, consultants and suppliers.
- Specifying equipment performance and design criteria.
- Estimating capital equipment and installation costs.
- Defining and executing competitive bidding strategy.
- Overseeing plant equipment layout and design.
- Coordinate construction activity.
- Leading equipment commissioning.
- Protecting 3M intellectual property.
- Communicating effectively to project team, facility staff and project owners.
- Gaining understanding of applicable codes and guidelines to insure designs meet standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Possess or be in the final year of pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
- Possess or be in the final year of pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mining Engineering from an accredited program.
- 1-3 Years Experience in project management.
- Experience in quarry mining and/or heavy industrial operations.
- Team player with the ability to contribute in a matrix environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated Skills including:
- Technical leadership capabilities.
- Defining problem and goals.
- Generating project scope.
- Communication and team building with cross-functional members.
- Obtaining funding.
- Purchasing, contracting and supplier management.
- Successful capital project implementation.
- Little Rock, Arkansas.
- Travel may include up to 10% domestic/international.
- Relocation may be authorized.
