Senior Process Engineer needed for a manufacturing company in Little Rock, Arkansas!
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to support process standardization, capability improvements, and innovation across our injection molding operations. This role serves as a technical expert, driving best practices, training, and continuous improvement initiatives across our global production network.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert guidance to injection molding operations and support process optimization initiatives
- Lead best‑practice implementation and continuous improvement across all molding sites
- Support cost reduction, quality improvement, and process control efforts
- Develop and deliver professional training in injection molding
- Standardize molding processes and promote knowledge sharing across sites
- Assist in specification, testing, and ramp‑up of new injection molding equipment
- Support mold concept design, shrinkage management, and mold qualification
- Research and test emerging injection molding technologies and automation solutions
- Mentor engineers, specialists, and maintenance technicians
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth integration of new molds and equipment
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe work environment
- Strong communication skills across all organizational levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, NX, Solid Works, and Moldflow
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and analytical mindset
- Experience with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc)
- Knowledge of various injection molding and extrusion machines
- Understanding of tool design and mass‑production methods
- Knowledge of PVC, CPVC, and polyolefin materials a plus
- Ability to lead, influence, and work collaboratively across functions
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Plastics/Polymer, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of experience in injection molding process engineering
- Experience working with both semi‑crystalline and amorphous plastics
- Skilled in troubleshooting, shrinkage management, mold qualification, and auxiliary equipment integration
- Experience with root‑cause analysis techniques
- Office and factory environments with potential exposure to machine noise and heat
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work around heavy equipment
- Requires use of standard PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots)
- Up to 30% domestic travel required between two plants – AR and OK
