Mechanical Engineer, Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineering
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who wants to take ownership of complex capital projects and pressure systems in a 500-person specialty chemical facility.
Position SummaryWe are looking for a driven Mechanical Engineer to join our Project Engineering Group in Batesville, Arkansas.
This is not a desk-bound design role. We are a specialty chemical manufacturer with a 50-year legacy and over 500 employees, and we need an engineer who thrives in the field. You will partner closely with our electrical engineers, process controls team, maintenance staff, and operations to improve the mechanical integrity and capacity of our live manufacturing and utility systems. If you want to take ownership of capital projects, evaluate critical pressure systems, and see the immediate physical impact of your engineering decisions, this is where you belong.
Key Responsibilities- Drive technical assistance, process improvements, and capital project implementation across our manufacturing, utilities, and maintenance operations.
- Manage our pressure-vessel program, including the calculation and selection of relief devices, conservation vents, and rupture disks.
- Size, specify, and troubleshoot industrial equipment such as heat exchangers, pumps, centrifuges, and complex piping systems.
- Collaborate daily on the plant floor to identify the root causes of mechanical problems and implement safe, reliable solutions.
- Apply process economics to evaluate project value and ensure all design criteria meet rigorous safety and quality standards.
- B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, or a closely related engineering degree with equivalent industrial coursework.
- Demonstrated experience performing complex mechanical engineering work in a manufacturing, process, or industrial environment.
- A strong preference for hands‑on, field‑oriented problem solving over pure product design or CAD drafting.
- The ability to work collaboratively across disciplines, communicate progress to stakeholders, and incorporate feedback from maintenance and operations teams.
- A deep commitment to process safety, mechanical integrity, and safe engineering design criteria.
Our team culture is built on safety, sustainability, and world‑class chemistry expertise, with many of our team members building 20-plus‑year careers here. We offer a predictable first‑shift schedule, a highly collaborative environment, and the opportunity to work on projects that matter. If you are ready to make a tangible impact on the plant floor,
