Deputy Chief For Hydraulics And Technical Services
You will serve in a dual-hat leadership role as the Deputy Chief for the Hydraulics and Technical Services Branch and as the Chief of the Reservoir Control Team.
You are responsible for the district's real-time surface water control activities, and overseeing management actions for 23 lakes and navigation projects.
You will provide direct administrative and technical supervision to a staff of engineers and technicians.
You will direct the preparation of hydrologic studies and reports.
You will update water control manuals and regulation plans.
You will ensure all activities comply with authorized project purposes such as flood control, navigation, hydropower, and water quality.
You will act as the district's senior technical specialist for water control, advising management on policy and operations, performing advanced engineering studies, and representing the district as an expert in public meetings and conferences.
As the Deputy Branch Chief, you will assist the Chief in all mission phases, including program planning, coordination, and supervision, assuming full authority in the Chief's absence.
