Control Systems Engineer

Design and implement control systems and panels to maintain and improve manufacturing capabilities and sustainability;
Prepare cost estimates for new items needed for production and new or modified equipment control needs;
Select manufacturing controls equipment; prepare specifications, confer with vendors and prepare capital appropriations;
Assist with preparation of expense and capital forecasts, budgets, controls and expenditures.

Responsible for troubleshooting, modifying or creating new control systems, including PLC and other programming. Responsible for the development and implementation of engineering projects to improve the manufacturing operations and processes;
Responsible for advising Engineering Manager as to plant equipment needs and pending problem areas involving plant equipment;
Responsible for other duties as assigned.

B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering; A minimum of 2 years of Electrical Engineering / Control Systems Engineering experience is required, 4 years is preferred;
Experience with programming ladder logic is required;
Experience with troubleshooting, modifying, or creating new controls; including PLCs is required, experience with Allen Bradley is strongly preferred;
Experience with VFD drives, servo drives, IO racks is preferred;
Ability to create and read electrical schematics is preferred;
Ability to specify and size electrical components is preferred;
Experience with cost estimates is preferred.
