Responsibilities:

  • Prepare & manage monthly financial statements (including profit & loss statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, etc.).
  • Ensure accurate & timely financial reporting & compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Oversee the preparation of budgets & forecasts, providing insights into financial performance.
  • Accounts Receivable (AR) & Accounts Payable (AP):
  • Manage the AR & AP processes, ensuring timely invoicing & collection of payments.
  • Proactively communicate with customers to facilitate timely payments & resolve discrepancies.
  • Negotiate payment terms with suppliers & manage cash flow effectively.
  • Build & maintain strong relationships with customers & suppliers for smooth financial transactions.
  • Address customer inquiries & concerns regarding billing & payment processes.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely payments & resolve issues related to accounts.
  • Operational Support:
  • Collaborate with operational teams to align financial processes with business needs.
  • Provide financial insights for decision-making & strategic planning.
  • Assist in developing & implementing financial policies & procedures.
  • Oversee the integration & use of financial software & systems, ensuring efficiency & accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements & implement best practices in financial management.
  • Qualifications, Experience &

    Skills:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably in freight forwarding or logistics.
  • Strong understanding of Australian accounting principles & regulations.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, capable of explaining financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial software & Microsoft Office Suite; experience with systems like Aircall is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & manage multiple priorities.

      Skills:

    • At least 5 years of experience as an accountant.
    • Highly self-motivated & engaged.
    • Team player.
