Budget and Management Analyst

JOB OBJECTIVE

To compile, analyze, assemble, and distribute the annual budget document; to monitor Citywide budget transaction records for compliance with policies and procedures.

This position is not designated as a safety/security sensitive position and is not subject to random drug and alcohol screening.

These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through completion of Bachelor's degree in Finance, General Business, Accounting, Public Administration or a related area, and two (2) years of experience in an accounting or finance department setting. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

To be eligible for advancement to the position of Budget and Management Analyst II, the incumbent must successfully meet all departmental requirements as determined by the Department of Finance. Meeting these requirements does not guarantee advancement but qualifies the incumbent for consideration for advancement to Budget and Management Analyst II subject to departmental approval and availability of the position.
