Incumbent should be located anywhere within the Arvest 4 State Footprint (AR, KS, MO, OK).

Position is Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm with ability to work additional hours as needed.

Under the supervision of the Senior Audit Manager and/or the Auditor In-Charge, the Staff Auditor performs planning and testing of Arvest's internal controls in designated areas of risk. The incumbent is required to deal with basic auditing and risk concepts with minimal supervision.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Execute audit procedures, perform quality analysis, provide sufficient audit evidence, and conclude on the following: adequacy and effectiveness of the system of internal controls; compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures; and the reasonableness of financial data.
  • Gather relevant business, process and system information; validate risks and controls; and prepare accurate, complete, clear and timely audit evidence that reflects an ability to identify risks and to assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Prepare audit findings indicating the condition, criteria, cause and consequence; propose audit recommendations; and communicate such with the Audit Management in a timely manner.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with others within and outside the Internal Audit Department. Communicate, both in writing and in-person, in a professional, clear and concise manner, and listen effectively to others.
  • Complete assigned tasks within the assigned budget and on-time while minimizing the amount of non-work-related activities during work hours.
  • Develop skills in the use of relevant audit software and other Arvest data systems and complete all training courses, as assigned.
  • Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

Qualification requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business field, preferably Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology or equivalent risk related financial experience required.
  • Minimal understanding of audit and/or financial services risk concepts required.
  • Knowledge of bank operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of auditing principles and practices preferred.
  • Interest in obtaining a professional designation (CPA, CISA, CIA, CRCM, CFIRS, CAMS, Series 7, etc.) or relevant certificates within two years preferred.

Physical demands:

  • The associate must be able to travel occasionally by themselves within the US, including overnight, and via automobile and air.

Pay Range: $52520 - $65650 per year
