The Healthcare Services investment banking practice has decades of experience advising entrepreneurs, family‑owned businesses and private equity sponsors across the middle market. Our team brings deep knowledge of the operating, reimbursement, regulatory and investor dynamics that define the subsectors we cover, including pediatrics, behavioral health, home health and hospice, post‑acute services, health and wellness, and healthcare‑focused outsourced and facility services. This expertise allows us to execute efficiently, create competitive tension and enhance transaction certainty for our clients.
Senior and junior bankers work closely and cohesively on every engagement, combining a high standard of execution with a collaborative, client‑first approach. Whether advising a founder through their first institutional transaction or managing a complex sponsor‑backed exit, we deliver strong outcomes across sell‑side and buy‑side M&A, equity and debt private placements and recapitalizations.
As an Associate/Vice President at Stephens, you have significant responsibility in supporting senior bankers with business development, relationship maintenance and transaction execution, as you continually develop expertise within Healthcare Services. Key tasks include:
- Creation and execution of business development and marketing plans in coordination with Senior Bankers.
- Oversee the execution of live engagements, from the initial preparation phase through the closing of transactions.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of work for junior Associates and Analysts.
- Recruit, educate, and train Investment Banking Associates and Analysts.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
- 2+ years of experience as an Investment Banking Associate.
- Significant experience executing M&A transactions with a strong preference for Healthcare Services transaction experience.
- Excellent analytical and modeling skills.
- High energy with strong interpersonal, accounting and finance skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines.
