The responsibility of the Teller II (Float) is to conduct transactions with speed, accuracy and efficiency while meeting or exceeding service quality standards. Safeguard bank assets assigned to them. Contribute to the growth of the bank by promoting and cross‑selling bank products and services. Position involves floating, or traveling, to different branch locations as needed.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalent (GED). Equivalent to four years of high school education with emphasis on office skills, shop skills, or related coursework. 12–18 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Communication SkillsAbility to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person‑to‑person and small group situations with customers, clients, the general public and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers, and perform these mathematical skills using money and other forms of measurement.
Critical Thinking SkillsAbility to use common sense understanding in order to carry out simple multi‑step instructions and deal with standardized situations with limited variables.
Working and Physical ConditionsPeriods of standing, walking, pushing, carrying or lifting. Moderate noise level. Requires periods of concentration. Must frequently talk or hear, regularly stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms; frequently stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs; regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Close vision is required.

- Employee must be available to float between work locations as needed.
- Must be flexible in availability for work schedule.
- This position requires frequent use of a vehicle during and sometimes after business hours to perform the required duties of the job. Therefore, this position is classified as a safety sensitive position.
