Institutional Sales Associate - Capital Markets - Salt Lake

Job Summary

Institutional Sales Associate to join our Capital Markets department.

• Assist in the development of the bank's fee income and profits from selling fixed income instruments and money market securities to existing and new institutional customers.
• Help create and maintain the customer base of institutional accounts with whom the bank buys and sells securities.
• Learn about institutional accounts such as financial depository institutions, public treasurers, corporations, pension funds, and mutual funds.
• Learn about other bank products and services that may increase fee income (clearing and safekeeping services, portfolio accounting and investment advisory services, trust services, equity brokerage, cash management, etc.).
• Learn about securities the bank underwrites, securitizes, or trades in the secondary market.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Strong communication and sales skills – ability to present products and services and demonstrate value.
• Basic knowledge of financial markets, economic news releases, investment instruments, money market securities and other investment products.
• Excellent PC, mathematical, analytical, communication and customer service skills.
• Self‑motivated.
• Bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years of directly related experience in institutional sales preferred.
• Securities licensing preferred.

Full Time On‑site, 17th Floor Zions Bank Building.

Hours:

7:00AM to 3:00PM.

Location:

Downtown Salt Lake City.
