Overview
The Fiscal Support Supervisor/Expert oversees a small Accounts Payable team within the Department of Finance and Administration, ensuring fiscal operations are completed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The role combines expertise in fiscal operations with leadership responsibilities, including supervision of fiscal support staff, resolution of complex fiscal issues, training and development of team members, and review of financial reports and reconciliations.
Responsibilities- Supervise a small Accounts Payable team within the Department of Finance and Administration.
- Ensure fiscal operations are completed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to fiscal support staff.
- Resolve complex fiscal issues and participate in the review of financial reports and reconciliations.
- Oversee training and development of team members.
- Bachelor s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- Three to five years of experience in fiscal management or accounting.
- Experience supervising a team preferred.
- Strong knowledge of state fiscal policies, regulations, and best practices.
- Expertise in accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
