WEHCO Media, Inc. is hiring a Corporate Credit Specialist to oversee customer accounts receivable for several operating groups. This full-time role focuses on building and maintaining professional working relationships with both internal colleagues and external partners, especially within Sales.
Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely collection of accounts receivable in line with department goals.
  • Keep process documentation for assigned accounts up to date.
  • Reconcile outstanding receivable balances with customer records and resolve discrepancies.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with the credit supervisor and act on feedback to drive results.
  • Review customer aging reports to confirm billing methods, credit status, and payment conditions are accurate.
  • Evaluate collectability of finance charges and small-dollar invoices; request electronic adjustments when needed.
  • Track weekly billing activity, flag non-compliance, and address issues promptly.
  • Suggest credit line extension and assess orders held for payment or credit issues.
  • Release orders on credit hold within authority or escape larger requests as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or comparable experience handling receivables.
  • Industry certifications, such as NACM, are a plus.
  • At least one year of experience in accounts receivable, accounting, or finance (three years preferred).
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Office (one year minimum, three years preferred). Experience with Excel tools such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP is valuable.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
  • Strong organizational habits, reliability, and an ability to focus on solutions are valued.
  • Comfortable working with all levels of management to achieve goals.
  • Willingness to adapt hours temporarily to meet department needs.
  • Able to prioritize and take on new challenges as they arise.
