Position SummaryThe Manager of Loan Operations is responsible for day to day management assigned area of operational support functions. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant handling of loan activities while leading a team of operations staff. The Manager supports process improvements, maintains strong internal controls, and partners with lending teams to deliver a high-quality customer experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Supervise and support loan operations staff, providing coaching, performance management, and training to ensure team effectiveness. Foster a collaborative, service-oriented team environment
- Manage daily workflow, staffing levels, and workload distribution.
- Monitor pipeline activity, exceptions, and backlog to meet service-level expectations.
- Serve as a point of contact for operational inquiries and issue resolution.
- Maintain proper loan documentation, procedures and operational documentation.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and addressing findings.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and reduce errors.
- Support implementation of process enhancements and system updates.
- Utilize loan systems (LOS, core banking) to track and manage operational performance.
- Partner with lenders, credit teams, and other departments to ensure smooth loan execution.
- Support customer service efforts related to loan servicing and transactions.
- Ensures all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills- Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as financial reports, legal documents, procedures manuals, general business correspondence and/or journals or government regulations.
- Working knowledge of commercial, consumer, and business loan processes.
- Familiarity with loan documentation, servicing practices, and systems.
- Understanding of applicable lending regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- BS/BA Degree in Business, Finance or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of banking experience, with significant focus in loan operations.
- 2+ years of leadership/management experience.

- MS Office programs (Proficient in MS Excel)
- Working experience in Jack Henry Silverlake, Fiserv or equivalent banking software (system administrative experience preferred).
