Arkansas Talent Group is exclusively partnering with a respected, growth-oriented Healthcare Organization to identify a strategic and hands-on Controller to lead the financial operations of its Physician Group in Little Rock!
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced accounting and finance professional who enjoys improving processes, developing teams, strengthening controls, and translating financial information into actionable business insight. The Controller will oversee Accounting, Treasury, and FP&A functions.
Key responsibilities include:- Lead, mentor, develop, and evaluate a large Accounting and FP&A team members while creating a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing department
- Oversee and manage a large Accounting and FP&A Team and delegate duties, and train and mentor staff and management
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete financial reporting
- Oversee the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, treasury, and related accounting operations
- Establish, maintain, and enhance accounting policies, financial processes, and internal controls to support accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency
- Prepare and review internal financial statements, management reports, budget-to-actual analyses, forecasts, and other financial deliverables for leadership
- Partner with executive and operational leaders to develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial plans
- Analyze financial performance, operating trends, clinic-level results, revenue, expenses, cash flow, and key performance indicators; communicate meaningful findings and recommendations to leadership
- Support strategic decision-making through financial modeling, scenario analysis, investment evaluation, and profitability analysis
- Coordinate and support external audits, tax reporting, regulatory reporting, and other financial compliance requirements
- Manage banking relationships, cash flow activity, credit matters, investment-related activity, and treasury functions as applicable
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline required
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- At least 5+ years of progressive public accounting experience or 7 or more years of progressively responsible accounting and finance experience required
- Prior leadership experience overseeing accounting staff and complex financial processes strongly preferred
- Healthcare, physician-practice, multi-site, or other highly regulated industry experience is preferred
- Strong knowledge of general accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, credit, internal controls, and financial analysis
