The Deposit Operations Specialist performs various daily tasks related to the day-to-day operations of the Bank as well as handling functions that have a regulatory, monetary, and potential reputational risk impact. Functions are time-sensitive and must be adhered to by means of policy and procedure.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• · 3+ years of Deposit Operations or banking experience.
• · High school diploma or equivalent required.
• · Strong leadership, communication, and customer-service skills.
• · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Basic math skills and reading comprehension skills; 10-key by touch.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Full-time; 40 hours per week.

• Responsible for monitoring and addressing all non-post, stop payment or positive pay daily.
• Responsible for processing returned mail and returned checks.
• Responsible for handling GL unposted items and deposits unposted corrections.
• Process chargebacks, ACH items, wires, and CD interest checks.
• Responsible for verifying that signatures on all wires follow Bank policy.
• Audit daily account maintenance in accordance with Bank policy and file properly.
• Responsible for monitoring and processing new account documents; handling account exceptions and ensuring that the appropriate CIP information has been accumulated.
• Responsible for the review of mobile and merchant capture deposits.
• Overdraft monitoring/decisioning (if not decisioned by officer in timely manner).
• Responsible for setup of new business online banking users.
• Responsible for scanning branch documents and ensuring CIP requirements.
• Maintenance of policies and procedures for all processes noted above.
• Provide support for retail and lending staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
