As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you'll guide borrowers through the mortgage process while developing relationships and growing your business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Generate new business through referral relationships, prospecting, self-sourced opportunities, and company-provided leads, as applicable.
• Consult with borrowers to understand their financial goals and recommend appropriate mortgage products and financing options.
• Take and complete mortgage loan applications and gather the documentation needed to move loans through the approval process.
• Review borrower financial and credit information and identify potential issues before submitting loans for processing and underwriting.
• Maintain regular communication with borrowers throughout the mortgage process and provide a high level of customer service from application through closing and beyond.
• Partner closely with internal teams to resolve issues and keep loans moving toward closing.

• Bachelor's degree in business/finance related field or
• High school diploma or GED
  with previous mortgage/financial institution experience, or commission-oriented sales experience
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented approach with the persistence and initiative needed to succeed in a sales environment.
• Comfortable using technology and learning mortgage lending systems.

Mortgage lending and Encompass experience are preferred but not required for all candidates.
